Who Cares for the Caregivers? (w/ Dr. Gia and Shana Edgecombe) on Bahamas@Sunrise

Caregivers are often the quiet foundation holding families, communities, and aging systems together. They manage appointments, medications, transportation, meals, emotions, finances, emergencies, and the constant mental load of “being the strong one.”

But too often, while everyone asks about the person receiving care, few people ask: What about the caregiver?

Through lived experience and psychological insight, the session will explore the emotional weight of caregiving, burnout, family expectations, guilt, identity, financial pressure, community support, and what caregivers need, in order to keep going without losing themselves.
